The treasurer of a school PTSO in Union County allegedly misused more than $300,000 of organization funds for online gambling. The sheriff’s office said it was told on Nov. 12 about a potential misuse of money within the Cuthbertson High School Parent Teacher Student Organization (PTSO). An initial review allegedly found that the PTSO treasurer -- 53-year-old Rachel Cluna -- was using the organization’s money to gamble online. Deputies said that initial review revealed 61 transactions that totaled around $85,000.
On August 11, 2025, Columbia County officials held a press conference in Magnolia, Arkansas, to discuss a potential break in a 47-year-old cold case. Last week, numerous law enforcement agencies investigated the disappearance of 25-year-old Mary Bobo Shinn, a young woman who was reported missing on July 20, 1978. However, he noted that the search did help authorities learn something that could potentially advance the investigation. As of now, no items have been sent for DNA testing.
